A personal size Bible with goatskin
The “personal size” Bible (roughly 5” x 7.5”) is my favorite size for a Bible. It’s small enough to conveniently carry and place on a podium next to my notes while also being large enough for a decent font size. Several publishers produce Bibles this size, though single-column text is harder to find.
Crossway is the maker of my default Bible translation, the ESV. I’ve owned more than a few of its single-column, personal size editions, but I finally upgraded to an ESV Heirloom Single Column Personal Size Bible with, most notably, a goatskin leather cover. I was fortunate. I just happened to see its Amazon listing on a day when the price was reduced by nearly $100.
I’m partial to brown leather myself, and the pages have more shadowing from the text beneath than I would like, but I cannot complain. I will thoroughly enjoy this Bible.
